WHAT YOU'LL WORK ON

As Qualia embarks on the next phase of growth, we are seeking a Head of Talent to build out a world-class recruiting organization, fueling Qualia's rapid growth in Austin and San Francisco. The Head of Talent will oversee all of Qualia’s recruiting efforts, developing sourcing and hiring strategies for all vacant positions across the company. The ideal candidate for this role is a proactive recruiting leader, highly analytical, wildly creative, and a tremendous coach. You’ll oversee our recruiting systems and rely on data to optimize Qualia’s hiring efforts. You will develop systems to ensure excellent candidate experience and to drive Qualia’s DEI initiatives across the company. The Head of Talent will develop a strong employer brand for our company so that we can develop talent pipelines for current and future hiring needs.

RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Oversee and scale Qualia's recruiting team (Currently at 9)
  • Manage full-cycle recruiting for all departments, including technical, non-technical, and leadership positions, with a strong emphasis on technical talent
  • Evaluate, streamline, and improve current recruiting tools, technologies, and processes
  • Build out an executive recruiting motion
  • Promote diversity, equity, and inclusion in the workplace and ensure recruiting strategies attract candidates from many backgrounds
  • Develop and execute strategic recruiting initiatives such as interview training and employer branding
  • Oversee all new hire sourcing and recommend new sourcing avenues (online, referral, agency, university, career fairs, etc). 
  • Report on performance of recruiting function to the executive team
  • Work closely with Qualia's Director of HR to ensure a smooth onboarding into the company
  • Work with hiring managers to plan and manage the recruiting process internally

YOUR BACKGROUND THAT LIKELY MAKES YOU A MATCH

  • Experience overseeing talent acquisition at high-growth technology company
  • Ability to work on both recruiting strategy and execution in a scaling organization
  • Experience managing a successful talent team
  • Experience building out a DEI Team
  • Proven ability to recruit for technical and non-technical roles in a competitive market
  • Experience with an ATS like Greenhouse or other recruiting tools
  • Experience building an interview training system
  • Ability to apply effective sourcing strategies and tactics through multiple channels to fill positions quickly
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to collaborate and communicate with diverse groups while demonstrating a deep sense of empathy
  • Comfort with and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment and ability to balance competing interests
  • Bachelor's degree
