About the role:

LumApps is seeking a Human Resources Manager - North America to join our team in Austin, TX. This is a great opportunity for an innovative problem-solver who is passionate about people and comfortable in a fast-paced startup environment. This role will report directly to our VP of People, will manage a team of 2, and will play a pivotal role in our growth in the US market by owning the HR function across the region.

What you will do:

  • Manage the North America HR team (located in Austin, Texas)
  • Provide expertise in the following areas: 
    • Career Planning
    • Performance Management
    • Compensation and Rewards
    • Employee Relations
    • Learning and Development
    • Recognition Programs
  • Work with C-Level, VP's and managers across the organization to establish hiring timelines and needs as the business quickly expands
  • Support the company’s culture and engagement goals through identification of issues, facilitation of planning solutions, and reporting progress
  • Ensure consistent interpretation and administration of company policies and procedures, practices, and principles relating to employee relations and risk management; counseling and advising management while recommending approaches to prevent/resolve problems
  • Collaborate with the global HR Team on projects and programs that focus on engagement, culture, policy, and process development
  • Nurture a positive working environment,
  • Report to management and provide support, using HR metrics
  • Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; review policies and practices to maintain compliance

What we are looking for:

  • 7+ years relevant HR role experience with at least 3 years supporting senior business leaders in organizational design and talent management
  • SHRM-CP or PHR Certification preferred
  • Experience in benefits administration, payroll administration, and HRIS administration
  • Deep understanding of employment law and employee relations
  • Experience in working with remote employees
  • Experience in working in a fast paced, high growth, dynamic business environment; tech industry experience desired
  • The ability to quickly adapt interpersonal style and influence effectively at all levels in the organization with a high degree of tact and diplomacy
  • The ability to maintain strict confidentiality, establish trust and credibility and act with complete integrity
  • The ability to identify and define issues, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions and develop recommendations and solutions that meet the needs of the employee as well as the company
  • The ability to understand employee opinions, monitor the effect of business decisions on people, and advise leaders and managers on addressing employee concerns
  • The ability to prioritize/re-prioritize multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced and constantly shifting work environment
  • Ability to work collaboratively and cooperatively in a multicultural environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills

Our office is located just outside downtown Austin on the corner of South 1st and Riverside. We're in a great location, within walking distance to a ton of great fitness clubs, restaurants and bars!
