What You’ll Do:

  • Maintain and update the Human Resource Policy Manual, Employee Handbook and other key documents
  • Oversee employee benefit programs working closely with third party administrators
  • Assist Senior Management in developing short and long-term objectives, goals, and strategies around employee engagement
  • Monitor and review all Human Resources policies, programs and practices to ensure compliance with state and federal laws
  • Develop and implement programs and initiatives in collaboration with the VP of People, Senior Manager of Recruiting and Engagement and Corporate Trainer to drive a performance based culture through training, performance management, employee recognition, and career pathing
  • Review and approve all compensation changes, status changes, terminations and enrollments based on appropriate approval and plan guidelines
  • Oversee payroll process, compile payroll statistics and ensure accurate payroll records are maintained
  • Maintain Human Resource records and systems for ongoing operations and archive purposes
  • Actively participate in SHRM and local HR networking groups

Requirements & Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR or related field required
  • PHR or SPHR certification strongly preferred
  • 5+ years of experience in human resources
  • Management experience required
  • Hands-on payroll and benefit knowledge and experience required
  • Experience with ADP payroll preferred, knowledge of federal and state employment and benefit and payroll laws required
  • Comprehensive knowledge of benefits plan administration
  • Knowledge of HR best practices, all applicable labor, pay, benefits, health and safety laws and regulations
  • Experience with key Human Resources areas including performance management, employee development, employee relations, and managing leaves of absences in accordance with State and Federal laws 
  • Experience and successful track record investigating and resolving complex employee relations issues
