The Payroll Support Representative will serve as a centralized point of contact for current and former TMs at various levels of the organization, dependents, outside agencies and/or vendors to address routine payroll inquiries via WFM TMS systems. Uses established knowledgebases or research to provide either direct resolution or uses judgement to escalate the inquiry to the proper department to address accordingly. Will also be responsible for various payroll administrative transactions, such as garnishment processing, EIB uploads, Kronos timekeeping, and routine data audits. The Payroll Support Representative is entrusted with accessing and maintaining sensitive and confidential employee/company data in Workday. This role requires excellent customer service skills, ability to work within established SLAs and partner with management to maintain payroll related knowledgebases.

Knowledge, skills and abilities

  • Customer focused. Ability to demonstrate patience and willingness to assist; follows through on commitments and treats others with courtesy and sensitivity
  • Payroll knowledge, understands payroll policies, practices and procedures
  • Understands federal, state and local payroll-related laws and regulations
  • Strong written and verbal skills
  • Strong technical skills with applicable WFM systems
  • Ability to solve problems using well understood methods and technologies; refers complex or sensitive issues to higher levels
  • Demonstrates commitment to customer service excellence through positive, effective & diplomatic oral and written skills
  • Strong Excel and other Microsoft Office skills

Education and experience

  • High school diploma plus 1 -2 years payroll experience
  • FPC and/or CPP certification preferred
