People Operations Generalist

RapidDeploy is looking for a People Operations Generalist to join our Austin, TX based team. The ideal candidate for this role will be passionate about jumping in, rolling up their sleeves, and adding immediate value in a rapid-growth, high performance culture. The People Operations Generalist will contribute to RapidDeploy by supporting our initiatives across Talent Acquisition, Employee Engagement and Retention, Learning and Development, Employee Relations, and Process Improvement.
What You'll Be Doing at RapidDeploy
- Support and help coordinate new intake days (in person and remote)
- Manage job postings and ensure all hiring procedures are followed through the ATS, ensuring all new hire paperwork is properly completed and processed within established timeframes
- Assist with Recruitment Process, including screening resumes for core competencies, scheduling interviews, and communicating next steps to candidates.
- Facilitate a positive candidate experience while interviewing with RapidDeploy by ensuring candidates receive timely follow-ups and feedback, and welcoming candidates to the RapidDeploy office for in person interviews as needed
- Proactively respond to inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, using discretion to escalate complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.
- Understand company HR technology platforms and help other employees navigate those systems, as well as facilitate projects within them
- Be a leader in developing culture in the growing Austin office via a positive and collaborative attitude, office events, and other creative cultural initiatives
- Partner with Head of People Operations to drive US Real Estate Strategy and expansion plans
- Manage Austin office facilities, including oversight and direction for food service, facilities, ordering office equipment and maintenance of clean and organized office environment. Manage suite access and parking in partnership with IT Specialist
- Plan and lead internal development initiatives, including Outside Insights, Lunch and Learns, and internal trainings
- Proactively assist with the day to day running of the Austin office
- Provide support to employees and managers, responding to questions regarding benefits, systems, performance, company programs and policies
What You'll Need to Be Successful

- Attention to detail: produce consistent and accurate deliverables while dealing with a high volume of data & information
- Proven track record of building strong relationships with cross-functional partners and stakeholders
- Willingness to quickly learn new technologies (ie Ally, Lever, Lattice, BambooHR)
- Desire to work in a fast paced and evolving environment
- Excellent organization and follow-through skills
- Forward-thinking and tech-savvy
- 2+ years of experience in Human Resources, Talent Acquistion, Office Management, or Business Operations (or related field)
- B.S./B.A. preferred
