Recruiter / Talent Specialist 

We’re looking for an enthusiastic Recruiter / Talent Specialist who can help us continue to build a team that lives our mission of helping the small businesses across America!

Our recruiter will serve as an ambassador to SmartBiz, handling every stage of an applicant’s journey. You will build teams, welcome new leaders, revamp and advise on strategy, and help build our recruiting roadmap. You will play a critical role within the “People Ops” team and have high visibility with executives within the organization. This role reports to the Director of People Operations, with consistent communication with the VP of Finance & People, as well as the CEO.

What you will do!

• Manage the full-cycle recruitment process - from approval of a requisition to offer
• Maintain all applicant/recruiting systems including BambooHR, LinkedIn, AngelList, Handshake, Built In Austin, etc..
• Post, source, review resumes, conduct phone screens, identify qualified candidates to present to hiring managers, handle the logistics of interviews, maintain communication, and extend offers 
• Work very closely with candidates and hiring managers throughout the hiring process, managing expectations and building outstanding relationships along the way
• Balance speed and efficiency while creating magical candidate experiences during the recruiting process
• Work with Marketing to help attract talent by finding new ways to represent our amazing culture 
• Proactively attend Meetups and community events to identify potential talent
• Attend career fairs in California and Texas to recruit potential talent
• Advise on tools that should be considered as additions to our People Ops stack
• Provide a range of “HR” support to the Austin office 

The ideal candidate!

        Experience / Education / Background

• You have 3-5 years of progressive recruitment experience
• You have spent some time as a talent/people/hr generalist and understand employment law
• You have a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
• You have a proven record of filling roles with qualified candidates and building fantastic impactful teams

• You have a can-do attitude and a willingness to roll up your sleeves 
• You are enthusiastic, a natural people person, and are able to make those you meet immediately feel comfortable
• You should be highly organized, innovative, and detail oriented
• You can thrive in a culture that embraces change - you are agile and can pivot easily from one project to another  
• You have a tendency to come up with creative solutions to traditional problems
