Observability Intern
Q2 is looking for talented individuals with exceptional technical curiosity and is enthusiastic about solving problems.
The Summer Internship Program is 12-weeks long (May 24th - August 12th) and all positions are paid hourly with an average work week of 40 hours. In addition to your daily work, you will be given the opportunity for weekly classroom trainings with Sr. Leadership, activities with other Q2 interns and the opportunity to present to the Executive Leadership team at the end of the program. This position will be a hybrid role. Due to this being a hybrid role, it is preferred the intern is located in Austin or surrounding areas.
As an Observability & Automation Intern you will learn about automation and monitoring tools that help eliminate toil and tedious manual work. You will also learn about how Observability tools tell stories about Business KPIs and Customer Experience (CX).
Responsibilities:
- Work with a team of Observability and Automation Engineers to identify opportunities to automate routine and redundant tasks
- Develop and deploy self-service forms to allow internal and external stakeholders to perform tasks
- Create dashboards that tell stories about the Customer Experience
Major: Management Information Systems (MIS) or Computer Science (CS)
Class: Junior
Recommended Skillsets & Qualifications:
The ideal team member(s) would possess experience in one or more of the following:
- Python coding or scripting
- Data Analysis/Modeling
- Experience with Data Warehousing or Business Analytics Platforms such as Tableau and/or PowerBI
- Strong Communication Skills
- An ability to navigate ambiguity through strong collaboration and innate resourcefulness
