Software/ML Engineering Intern
About the Position
Rev Engineers are expected to do more than just produce great code. They are expected to become experts on the problems facing our workers and customers, produce great ideas, and shape the future of our product. As an intern at Rev, you’ll help us execute on our current businesses and play a role in impacting the direction of the remote labor market on a global scale.
We are looking for exceptional full stack, mobile and speech engineering interns to join our growth stage startup. You can expect to make an impact from day one, contributing to our web mobile, and speech apps and pushing code to production on a weekly basis. You will work alongside a group of smart, pragmatic and passionate developers.
Responsibilities
- Build fully tested features for our web, mobile or speech applications
- Drive the definition of new features and product enhancements
- Use cutting-edge front-end technologies to build tools used by our Revvers everyday
- Help write the next generation of our RESTful APIs
- Design scalable systems that can keep up with our rapidly growing user base
- Build great user experiences
Qualifications
- Demonstrated software engineering experience from previous internship, work experience, coding competitions, or publications
- Must be currently enrolled in a full-time, degree-seeking program and in the process of obtaining a Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science or a related field
- Intent to return to degree-program after the completion of the internship/co-op
- Able to commit to a 9-12 week full-time (40 hrs/week) internship over the summer
- Stellar communication, high levels of creativity, and quick problem-solving capabilities (preferred, not required)
- An intrinsic desire to deliver and a strong sense of accountability for your work (preferred, not required)
- Junior/Senior status (2021/2022 graduation date)

Full-stack web:
- Have experience with a modern MVC framework, such as ASP .NET MVC, Ruby on Rails, Node.js
- Enjoy building front-ends with frameworks like Bootstrap, Backbone, React.js, AngularJS
Mobile:
- Have experience with developing mobile applications
- Enjoy building out beautiful mobile user interfaces
- Desire to design and develop full features from start to finish
- Instinctively write tests in parallel with your code
Speech:
- Have experience with scripting languages, such as Python, bash, Ruby
- Enjoy working in the Linux environment
- Have knowledge of Machine Learning theory
