WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON

As Qualia embarks on the next phase of growth, we are seeking a Corporate Counsel to join our Qualia Legal team and help fuel Qualia's rapid growth. The Corporate Counsel will work on a wide range of transactions, with a focus on commercial contracts and complex partner integrations. The ideal candidate for this role will be a flexible, team-oriented transactional attorney with a high attention to detail. You’ll be responsible for drafting, reviewing and negotiating agreements with Qualia’s customers and partners. The Corporate Counsel will also assist and advise Qualia’s business stakeholders with legal issues that arise day-to-day.  We are a small, nimble and mighty legal team here at Qualia and are looking for the right team player to join the fun.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Draft, review, analyze, and revise inbound and outbound agreements, including order forms, statements of work, SaaS and other technology contracts, license agreements, vendor and contractor agreements, partnership agreements, and non-disclosure agreements
• Advise Qualia’s business stakeholders through the contract review and negotiation process
• Understanding Qualia’s internal processes, policies, and products to provide legal advice at all levels of Qualia’s business
• Assist in the development of Qualia’s standard contractual terms and agreement templates
• Assist with the creation and improvement of Qualia’s contract execution and management processes to promote effectiveness and efficiency
• Meet short deadlines and manage a multitude of tasks in a fast-paced, innovative environment
• Act as an integral teammate with Qualia’s Legal team and business stakeholders

YOUR BACKGROUND THAT LIKELY MAKES YOU A MATCH

• Admitted to, and in good standing with, at least one state bar
• 5 or more years of experience as a technology transactional attorney
• Prior experience in a fast-paced law firm or in-house legal environment
• Understanding of the following subjects: fundamental contractual terms in technology agreements, data privacy and security, and intellectual property
• Understanding of the homebuying process and the services involved
• Ability to think creatively to minimize legal risks while facilitating Qualia’s business objectives
• High attention to detail
• Strong interpersonal skills and a positive, upbeat approach to engage with team members throughout Qualia
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
