Paralegal/Contract Manager

WHAT YOU'LL WORK ON
As Qualia embarks on the next phase of growth, we are seeking a Paralegal/Contract Manager to join our Qualia Legal team and help fuel Qualia's rapid growth. The Paralegal/Contract Manager will focus on contract management and will also provide overall legal support. The ideal candidate for this role has a flexible attitude, impressive organizational skills, strong written and verbal communication abilities, great judgment, excellent attention to detail, can work independently in a constantly changing and sometimes ambiguous environment, and is a team player willing to pitch in wherever needed. You will be a driving force behind the success of Qualia’s legal function and should be a “jack of all trades,” although the largest immediate needs are related to contract management, coordination, and operational efficiencies. We are a small, nimble and mighty legal team here at Qualia and are looking for the right team player to join the fun.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Review and negotiate agreements utilizing templates and playbooks
- Assist with matters relating to our standard contract templates, new agreements, and existing agreements
- Collaborate and partner effectively across the company, but particularly with Sales, Customer Success, and Finance
- Coordinate with other members of the Qualia Legal team regarding internal requests for legal support and escalations from routine contract management duties
- Complete other legal assignments, projects, and administrative duties as assigned
- Assist with the ongoing implementation and operation of a contract management system to generate contracts from templates and serve as a repository for contracts and their terms
YOUR BACKGROUND THAT LIKELY MAKES YOU A MATCH
- Bachelor’s degree
- 5+ years of experience as a contract manager or paralegal in a transactional legal environment
- Prior experience in a fast-paced law firm or corporate environment
- Technologically savvy, preferably has used or even implemented a contract management system
- Proven transactional skills in drafting and negotiating
- High attention to detail
- Strong interpersonal skills and a positive, upbeat approach to engage with team members throughout Qualia
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
