Associate Creative Director
Effective Spend is hiring an Associate Creative Director to join our expert team of digital marketers. This is a unique opportunity for an experienced digital marketer that is passionate about design, has a strong creative and analytical skill set, and is looking to level up their career by effectively leading our creative services department. As the creative department at Effective Spend is relatively new, this position will have the unique opportunity to build something special at a fast-paced digital agency that has always prided itself on staying at the bleeding edge of digital marketing.
In this role, you will collaborate with the account teams in creating performance-oriented image and video ads that will run across various digital media channels. You will also be responsible for overseeing and supporting the creative team. This person can efficiently develop client-facing creative briefs and expedite the creation of high-value ads for immediate use in marketing channels such as Facebook, Instagram, Google Display Network, YouTube, and more. You value responsive and enthusiastic problem solvers and know that strong communication and detail at all levels of a project will ensure a successful outcome. The Associate Creative Director will report directly to the CEO.
The ideal applicant has already gained experience in designing and producing motion graphics, animation, infographics, static and dynamic (HTML5) banner ads and has a portfolio of digital work demonstrating their expertise. Experience in videography and video production is a plus. The right candidate exhibits a true passion for effectively and efficiently executing on new ideas for clients and superior resourcefulness when it comes to creating design assets to achieve specific performance goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all creative services from client request to final delivery of assets. Support the development of all client assets.
- Help to create and maintain creative development processes
- Manage and grow our creative design team
- Guide our team of designers by creating quarterly goals, and holding the team accountable to those goals
- Build strategic creative concepts for the account team, and co-present to clients
- Collaborate with clients to secure brand guidelines and creative assets for use in the creation of advertisements
- Listen to and internalize feedback so that creative assets are executed according to client goals and exceed expectations.
- Analyze, report and communicate creative performance metrics to account team and client, and optimize creative based on insights
- Owns creative service P&L, managing in-house and contractor hours to hit growth goals
Qualifications & Skill Requirements:
- 4-year Bachelor’s degree in design, marketing, advertising, fine arts or a related field
- 4+ years professional creative or account management experience and 1+ years in an agency environment
- Demonstrated leadership in managing digital asset creation for use in paid social advertising
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud, with specific experience in Adobe After Effects, Illustrator, InDesign and Photoshop
- Proficiency in Google AdWords and Facebook Ads
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite with advanced knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint
- Strong mathematical and analytical skills
- Video production experience, including basic knowledge such as framing, audio, and lighting – equipment is a plus
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and client relationship skills
