SCOPE OF ROLE

Bright HealthCare’s Markets team is responsible for developing and managing long-term strategy, ongoing relationships, and contractual performance across our Care Partners and top network providers.

 

The Associate VP - Market Success will be a highly internal and external facing role, serving as a leader and trusted advisor responsible for facilitating operational improvements cross all markets. The Associate VP - Market Success reports on in market operational performance and driving accountability to service plans. This individual will also partner closely with IT and data operations and set priorities fitting for National Market Success. In addition, this person demonstrates situational agility and the ability to forecast trends and then train and lead teams in new directions to support sustainable growth

 

The Market Success team supports problem solving and solutioning across local markets to ensure shared learnings across all our markets, collaborating closely with other Bright Health teams to ensure efficient and effective issue resolution. The National Market Operations pillar of the Market Success Management Office works to ensure efficient execution on in-market strategies, cross-functional workflows, effective initiative execution, and timely issue resolution. The role will contribute to development and optimization of market-level operational and program reporting, enterprise processes and multi-team workflows, and tools. This position will interface primarily with internal Bright Health teams to achieve Market Success, Market Management team, and Bright HealthCare goals.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Accountable for developing, coordinating, and delivering processes and workflows aiding in service delivery across a matrixed operational model supporting many customers both internal and external to Bright.
  • Build a team capable of solutioning highly visible market challenges that restrict the company’s ability to deliver on promises imperative to the success in local markets.
  • Accountable for developing, coordinating, and delivering processes and workflows aiding in service delivery across a matrixed operational model supporting many customers both internal and external to Bright.
  • Accountable for identifying and establishing vendor partnerships with HIEs as well as influence buy, build or license digital products relevant to achieving business objectives working in partnership with tech and operations.
  • Accountable for strategic collaboration with internal and external partners to include local market teams, HPA, HIT, operations, and care partners to drive successful fulfillment of operationally dependent deliverables
  • Accountable for developing, coordinating, and delivering processes and workflows aiding in service delivery across a matrixed operational model supporting many customers both internal and external to Bright.
  • Plans, prioritizes, directs, and schedules all projects and assignments ensuring all scheduled timelines are met.
  • Accountable for developing and implementing a change request and change management process that establishes clear scope of work and signoff by receiving party, ensuring expectations are communicated and met.
  • Assists in recruiting, training, and motivating a staff of highly skilled professionals.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
  • The majority of work responsibilities are performed in a remote or open office setting, carrying out detailed work sitting at a desk/table and working on the computer. Travel may be required. 

EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

  • 7+ years of relevant data and operational experience
  • 7+ years of leading and managing people
  • 5+ years of health care industry experience
  • Planning, managing, and implementing large-scale, strategic technology imperatives that positively impact care partners
  • Bachelor's degree in business or related field, Master’s Degree (Preferred)
