Job Description

We're looking for a Head of Search Engine Optimization (SEO) to join Procore's Digital Marketing Center of Excellence. In this role, you'll be responsible for developing and executing the strategy for short-term and long-term Search Engine Optimization growth. As the Head of SEO, you will grow our visibility in organic search engines through content, technical SEO, and backlinking. Successful candidates have strong technical experience and understand the tools and technologies required to test, track, and measure search rankings.

They are responsible for creating demand, driving growth, and establishing Procore as the construction platform of choice through lasting relationships with customers, prospects, and partners. Procore marketing is the globally trusted voice to educate prospects and inspire clients, collaborators, and our ecosystem to champion meaningful change for the construction industry.

This position can be remote or based in any of our US offices. We're looking for someone to join our team immediately.

What You'll Do:

• Drive the acquisition of traffic, customers, and conversions through organic search

• Work cross-functionally on complex issues building relationships to drive executive alignment

• Own and develop our SEO roadmap, including determining the objectives for and approach to delivery

• Lead content development and web optimization projects

• Design SEO best practices across marketing, product, sales, and support by developing guidelines and being a spokesperson to evangelize

• Support and provide SEO guidance across demand-generation activities, including asset creation and campaign design

• Create strategies to expand into new categories and keywords as our product portfolio grows

• Expand our international rankings and create strategies to establish Procore in new markets

• Work with internal and external resources to create content strategies and publish to drive relevant traffic and increase rankings

• Research, diagnose, and resolve technical site issues. 

• Advise on site architecture, tagging, and site speed improvements.

• Create and execute a strategy to expand backlinking

What we're looking for:

• 12+ years in SEO, including content, architecture, page performance, tagging

• Strong understanding of website and content architecture and tech stacks

• A domain expert with keyword research, strategy assessments, and competitive analyses

• Extensive experience with web analytic and SEO tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Google Search Console, Screaming Frog, SEMRush, AHRefs, etc.)

• Expert in technical SEO, including how crawl errors, redirection, duplication, and site speed, impact website performance

• In-depth understanding of how search engines work, SEO optimization techniques, principles of sound SEO strategies, and all key and recent industry changes

• Knowledgeable of the B2B lead generation strategies
