Marketing Content Writer
Q2 is seeking a Marketing Content Writer to help us create more brand and solution awareness in the financial services industry. As part of our marketing team, your primary focus will be on creating insightful and persuasive content for our solutions to be used in blogs, solution sheets, brochures, internal education documents, presentations, white papers, e-newsletters, corporate website, and other digitally focused efforts. You will work on our team to develop ideas, research them with subject matter experts and write engaging messaging related to our solutions, products, and services. Ideally, you are a talented writer who is curious, thrives in learning environments and understand the importance of crafting a message that aligns with our brand and invokes the appropriate emotions based on our company mission. You have the ability to focus on the problem, connect it with people in the field and ensure that non-technical folks can understand and relate.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Create and produce high quality content, consistent with brand and corporate style standards
- Understand technical product features, benefits, and client needs and can clearly articulate these in a clear and concise manner
- Research through interviewing subject matter experts within Q2 and outside of Q2 as well as leverage and the latest news, reporting and insights on a given topic
- Work on concurrent projects and ensure that deliverables are achieved on time, while maintaining the highest standards of quality and creativity
- Support development and evolvement of written components that will have application to a high impact social media and inbound marketing strategy.
- Provide input and content when necessary for corporate website, blog, social media communities, and in general, solid content creation that drives awareness
- Ensure writing is engaging, easy to understand, and highly informative to our audiences
- Ensure standards and messaging are consistent and maintained across all channels
- Iterate and update content and materials for accuracy and completeness
- Responsible for ensuring that all security, availability, confidentiality and privacy policies and controls are adhered to
EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE:
- Bachelor's degree required
- Prefer 2 years professional writing experience, preferably in the financial services industry
- Proven ability to write with imagination, clarity, and attention to detail
- Experience writing both technical content and promotional copy for both online and hardcopy deliverables is preferred
- Ability to identify and write to different audience needs
- High attention to detail with excellent spelling and grammatical skills
- Self-starter with ability to plan and manage a writing project from start to finish
- Can do, highly motivated team player
- Highly proficient working with Microsoft Word and PowerPoint
- Skilled in working with templates, styles, and brand standards
