VP of Marketing

SamCart is looking for a dynamic and entrepreneurial Vice President of Marketing to guide our marketing strategy. We need someone who has the fast paced start-up expertise, to lead and grow a team of talented marketers to crush quarterly and yearly revenue goals and elevate SamCart’s brand presence in the marketplace. The right hire will be an inspiring and diligent leader with prior experience in brand-building.
Requirements
- Previous experience at a fast-growth Start-Up, ideally in Saas.
- Experience building out a high-functioning distributed team
- Extensive experience leading the strategic vision and brand of a b2b/b2c marketing program.
- Ownership and pride in your performance and its impact on company’s success
- Strategic mindset, with ability to make difficult decisions
- Strong analytical skills–must have the ability to turn data into optimizations across the team.
- Deep and working knowledge of both traditional and digital marketing.
- Highly professional with excellent communication.
Responsibilities:
- Build and lead a team of diverse marketers; guiding them in their immediate roles and contributions to the team, as well as offering mentorship as they grow within SamCart.
- Work with your team to develop a marketing strategy that finds the balance between prioritizing campaigns to increase revenue immediately vs. initiatives that build SamCart’s value long-term.
- Translate the Board and Leadership’s company goals into marketing team initiatives as OKRs.
- Build SamCart’s brand as a thought-leader in our industry by booking and presenting at speaking engagements, establishing partnerships, and launching high-impact branding campaigns.
- Define, enhance, and own SamCart’s brand voice, ensuring all communications from SamCart have a consistent tone.
- Define and manage the marketing team’s budget, as well as P+L
- Work cross-functionally with other team leaders to ensure Marketing’s needs are met, as well as meeting the needs of other departments.
- Conduct competitive, market, and consumer research to optimize positioning of SamCart’s product and services in the marketplace.
- Partner with Product and Management teams to elevate our positioning and identify new product opportunities.
- Advocate the successes of the team to leadership.
