Responsible for defining and managing the value proposition, work plan, resource needs, timeline, and budget for projects. Organizes and drives resources (capital, staff, tools) to achieve project objectives on time, within scope, and on budget. Responsibilities include overall project planning, direction, prioritization, change management, delivery, and post-delivery evaluation. Ensures project scope, planning, and implementation align with client expectations and business needs. Ensures alignment between multiple projects.

The Creative Resource Manager is responsible for allocating time and labor resources to deliver Marketing goals and track related reporting to continually create efficiency in process. The Resource Manager is responsible for ensuring the marketing Team Members’ time investment aligns with identified business priorities. The ideal candidate has experience managing internal and external creative resources related to cross-channel retail marketing activations 

 

Day-to-day, the Resource Manager will collaborate with Creative, Project Management, Production, and other teams to be informed of current and upcoming projects requiring creative resources to guide appropriate resource allocations 

 

The Manager will understand the current Amazon Fresh Creative team structure, creative team members' area of expertise and available bandwidth to allocate resources appropriately. The Resource Manager is responsible for reporting labor investments to Marketing Leadership, including translating timesheet tracking data to actionable insights. 

 

The Resource Manager is a member of the Marketing Operations team within Global Marketing of Amazon Fresh and Whole Foods Market and reports to the Senior Team Leader, Project and Resource Management.  

 

Responsibilities: 

  • Establish partnerships with Amazon Fresh Creative Team to understand collective scopes of work, expertise and team resources available 

  • Evaluate intake requests for projects and assign resources appropriately according to skillset, experience and areas of expertise or aspirations 

  • Assign projects and tasks to creative teams within project management system (Workfront), collaborating with Project Management team on expected time investment 

  • Lead or actively participate in weekly or bi-weekly stand-ups to review needs and continually reprioritize resources as needed 

  • Manage scheduling and agendas for review of creative concepts & executions with creative teams and leadership 

  • Proactively advise on needs for external support when bandwidth is a concern 

  • Oversee creative group assignments and structure, propose adjustments in structure as needed to align with business focus and priorities 

  • Train new Team Members on timesheet reporting and related processes 

  • Engage with Team Members and Leadership outside of project assignments to review team competencies and growth opportunities 

  • Create timesheet reporting from project management platform for leadership to review comparative time invested on programs and projects 

  • Assist in onboarding new creative Team Members and provide training on time tracking process 

  • Actively contribute as key stakeholder to future process improvement efforts 

 

Qualifications: 

  • BA/BS degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field 

  • 2-5 years professional experience in resource or project management, working in agency or brand environment 

  • Project Management experience, PMP certification a plus 

  • Desired experience in Retail/Grocery, Food & Bev, or CPG 

  • Ability to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders at all levels to drive consensus 

  • Passion for organization and details, paired with creative curiosity 

  • Comfort working under accelerated timelines and multitasking to manage various projects 

  • Ability to communicate detailed information in a clear, organized manner 

  • Ability to effectively say “no” and address concerns 

  • Proficiency in Workfront or similar project management software 

  • Proficiency in Microsoft suite, especially Excel 

  • Keen listener to understand Team needs and willingness to collaborate for solutions 

  • Resourceful self-starter, comfortable with ambiguity 

  • Position located in Austin, Texas at the Whole Foods Market Global Headquarters, with a hybrid schedule (60% in office)
