About the Title, Escrow & Closing Team

Orchard Title is an affiliate of Orchard, fully dedicated to offering Title & Escrow services to customers to provide the most seamless, delightful closing experience possible. Orchard Title has a national footprint; we are currently in Texas, Georgia and Colorado with plans to expand to additional states in 2021.

About the Role

The Director of Title Compliance will provide day to day oversight of operational compliance matters.  Orchard Title is a growing and evolving company, and you will be a key player in establishing, refining and improving processes throughout the Title organization. You will work closely with the Title Operations Managers and escrow teams to review ongoing business processes and ensure adherence to regulatory and company guidelines while providing feedback and recommendations to senior leadership. The ideal candidate has a strong background in regulatory compliance and a deep understanding of Department of Insurance requirements and title industry best practices.  They understand and can differentiate between best practices, regulation, and long term strategy goals. This role reports to the General Manager of Title & Closing Operations.

What You’ll Do Here

• Perform various audits and provide policy recommendations, guidance and support to senior leadership
• Monitor internal processes and procedures to ensure best practices are maintained, and identify areas of organizational risk and non-compliance
• Support our exceptional escrow team members day-to-day with complicated matters that require compliance oversight
• Maintain necessary documentation for reporting purposes
• Build and deliver ongoing training and best practices coaching to the Escrow team
• Build and track reports, QA processes, and training materials to meet and exceed SLAs required of a high performing team
• Act as a liaison and point of contact for all audit engagements

We’d Love to Hear From You if You Have:

• Solid knowledge of Texas Department of Insurance regulations and guidelines
• Ability to identify and solve problems and work well both independently and within a team environment
• Comfort with new and evolving technologies; quick to learn and adopt new systems
• National escrow experience a plus (TX, CO, GA, NC, VA)
• 7+ years of demonstrated compliance program experience with 5+ years management experience
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to present information to large audiences including senior leadership
