Executive Assistant to the CEO
Rex, founded and led by billion-dollar investment and operations Executive Chairman Peter Rex, is looking for a lights out Executive Assistant for the Office of the CEO. The Executive Assistant (EA) will directly support the Office of the CEO by working behind the scenes to proactively solve problems and handle administrative functions.
The EA is hard-edged and does not take no for an answer. The ideal candidate has a strong bias for action and is not reactive or passive. The EA has a passion for administrative excellence; is driven, adventurous, humorous, and flexible. The EA must enjoy handling a wide range of duties, including clerical tasks, research, scheduling, and relationship management activities. The position requires the highest level of integrity as there is significant exposure to confidential and sensitive information.
This isn’t your typical EA role. This is a launching pad into the company with a 18 - 36 month tour of duty before folding into other areas of the business. The vision is to grow the EA into a leadership position over time.
Within the first year you will:
- Managing complex calendar logistics and ensuring the CEO’s schedule is optimized
- Coordinating travel and accommodation arrangements
- Maintaining connections by scheduling meetings, planning events, and sending letters or personal gifts for the CEO
- Executing on a wide variety of open-ended directives
- Anticipating needs and issues before they arise
- Managing and understanding a large network of personal and professional relationships to include relationships with family, friends, partners, business connections, investors, and media
- Drafting, reviewing, and executing communications on behalf of the CEO
- Managing outside vendors and coordinating with other teammates to leverage individual capacity
The ideal candidate has:
- Bachelor’s degree
- 4+ years of experience in a fast-paced administrative role
- Unwavering discretion
- Strong attention to detail and organization
- Proven track record of executing vague or open-ended directives
- Excellent decision-making capability
- Book smarts and street smarts
- A strong desire to support the CEO and grow his organizations
