ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking a Global IT Procurement Category Manager to join us in a newly created position. Reporting to the Director of Procurement and Property you will take commercial advantage of regional IT category spend as well as Global IT spend, whilst providing an expert management and advisory service to Babylon’s stakeholders and clients.

This position can be based in any of the locations in the US where Babylon operate a hub office. We are also open to considering contractors as well as permanent candidates.

WHAT YOU'LL WORK ON

• Regional and Global IT category strategy formulation, presentation and alignment with both the global procurement team and internal stakeholders
• IT category management best practices
• Benchmarking and market understanding 
• Delivering maximum benefit from supplier negotiations
• Delivery of savings against revenue targets
• Due diligence on recent acquisitions
• Understand spend profile, pareto analysis etc
• Develop sub-category sourcing plans and milestones
• Stakeholder mapping 
• Contribution to the wider Babylon Procurement team strategic projects
• Supplier relationship and performance management 
• Contract management and management of renewals
• Running eSourcing events

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• Previous procurement operations experience within a fast moving organization - healthcare experience is desirable but not essential
• Track record of successfully delivering results in a procurement capacity
• Excellent stakeholder management skills and the ability to build relationships
• IT category experience
• Commercial experience and sensitivity to identify and capitalise on opportunities
• Sourcing and negotiation skills to be able to create and carry a deal to a successful conclusion
• In-depth understanding of and credibility of IT category
• Consultative and collaborative style to make best use of intellectual resource in their stakeholders and suppliers
• Self-starter, able to work using own resources
