As the IT Manager, you will help scale DISCO by orders of magnitude and extend the organization’s presence globally while ensuring the security of the company’s intellectual property and user data. You will have the opportunity to shape the IT strategy for DISCO and continue to explore new technology by being a hands-on leader.
Who You Are
You are a hands-on, security- and customer service-minded IT Professional with deep PC and OSX skills. You love working in startups because it means you get to be hands-on and consistently makes things better while you plan for bigger things. Your ideal day includes managing IT operations by supporting, troubleshooting, and maintaining existing applications, systems, services, and networks while looking for the best new technical solutions.
What You'll Be Doing

  • Implement IT strategies that ensure compliance with rigorous security frameworks (ISO27001, SOC II, HIPPA HiTrust, etc)
  • Ensuring that all software and services are available in a cloud environment to support an increasingly distributed workforce
  • Configure and manage client management tools (configuration management, malware detection, etc.) on both Mac OSX and Windows
  • Control employee accounts
  • Remotely support users
  • Maintain global office networks
  • Enable co-workers to do their best work through technology
  • Repeatable desktop imaging strategy
  • Research and recommend a client backup solution
  • Partner with business units to improve operational efficiency
  • Recommend updated collaboration tools
  • Assist in implementation of HRIS and ERP systems

Skills You Have...

  • A solid understanding of information technology and information security
  • A deep understanding of information security regulations
  • Production, at-scale, experience designing and implementing security controls
  • Experience implementing open source projects (such as OpenLDAP, OpenVPN, etc)
  • Ability to present strengths and weaknesses of competing 3rd party and open source solutions
  • Being comfortable defending implementations to external auditors
