AffiniPay’s IT Systems Technician will be responsible for the day to day support of the company’s IT environment, including end-user support, Mac and PC installation and maintenance, and network troubleshooting. The Technician will use their experience and education to ensure consistent and high quality IT services to all employees. The candidate must demonstrate a passion for providing excellent customer service, be a self-starter who takes initiative, and consistently displays a positive demeanor, integrity, and accountability.
Responsibilities:
- Help the IT Systems Manager with a wide variety of IT related issues with the ability to take ownership of them
- Fixing hardware such as servers, desktops, laptops, printers, telephones, and smartphones
- User and system administration experience (Google GSuite, Microsoft ActiveDirectory)
- Help handle all internal systems (Wifi, Microsoft AD/DC, Network File Storage, Switches/Routers)
- Maintain inventory and administration of corporate hardware and licensed software
- Provide desktop support for a mix of Mac and PC users
- Help handle door access system and grant/delete badges as needed
- Install and fix operating systems and other software on various Mac and PC machines
- Basic technical support at the network level: WAN and LAN connectivity, routers, switches and firewalls
- Keep a detailed log of all IT related inventory
Requirements:
- 1 to 3 years demonstrated ability supporting clients with IT related needs
- Ability to work with Windows and OS X computer systems
- Knowledge of wired and wireless networking, configuration, and administration
- Willingness to work flexible/odd hours at times, based on business needs
- Ability to deliver top-notch internal customer service
- Independent ability to research technical problems and devise innovative solutions
- Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a fast paced, high-pressure environment
- Ability to be flexible and adapt to changes quickly
- Ability to occasionally work after business hours to cover holidays, nights, and weekends.
- Ensuring that service requests requiring additional support are addressed in a timely manner
- Establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with clients, IT Staff and vendors
