Works with IP leadership, helping define and drive transformational change and deliver improved business results from strategic operational initiatives. Partners with operations, and other leaders / stakeholders to design, develop, and implement IP initiatives with broad organizational impact. Provides resources, tools, best practices, and advice to help IP team execute against strategy and achieve expected outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Supports and/or leads large-scale, Strategy Development projects from end-to-end.
  • Broad level of experience in Indirect Procurement and Strategic Sourcing
  • Experience with P2P applications- Ariba, Coupa, etc.
  • Experience developing, tracking, and reporting Indirect procurement metrics to leadership, i.e. dashboards, savings reporting, scorecards, and team roadmaps.
  • Experience developing and implementing IP stakeholder service level agreements (SLA), standard operating procedures (SOP)- Sourcing and Procurement, policies, templates, tools.
  • Uses business needs and past project experience to create full-scale project plans.
  • Builds, develops, and grows business relationships vital to project success.
  • Supports and/or leads team efforts to perform: 
    • Market and competitive research,
    • Operational assessments such as store operations, information systems, supply chain, vendor engagement, etc.
    • Data consolidation and report generation,
    • Development of data-driven insights related to process improvement.
  • Ensures effective integration with and input from key stakeholders, including Business Analysis, Business Process Improvement, Business Development, Supply Chain, and other operational teams
  • Develops and recommends strategically focused improvement ideas to leverage and align cross-functional capabilities, develop materially significant cost savings / efficiency initiatives, and enhance operational processes.
  • Leads/Participates in strategy and business performance review processes.
  • Assesses team performance, provides coaching and advice where needed.
  • Strong understanding and proven ability to apply standard and some advanced business process improvement methodologies and tools.
  • Strong knowledge of procurement life cycle, IP operations, and/or other areas aligned with IP support.
  • Advanced ability to identify and pursue process improvement opportunities based on risk controls customer experience, efficiencies, and other business-focused factors.
  • Assesses how systems and processes impact the effectiveness and efficiency of internal operations.
  • Communicates structured information in a clear, concise, and organized fashion.
  • Collaborates with others to achieve objectives and ensure information flow.
  • Effectively presents information and responds to questions, in both one-on-one situations and group meetings.
  • Participates in cross-functional projects and provides senior-level support to team.
  • Impacts overall team effectiveness.
  • May provide informal support to less experienced Team Members.
  • Builds and nurtures relationships with senior-level stakeholders and leaders.
  • Applies analytical skills to evaluate and interpret complex situations.
  • Presents problem analyses and recommended solutions in a creative and logical manner.
  • Analyzes complex and ambiguous problems.
  • Identifies opportunities for process / procedural enhancements to drive efficiency and improve service levels.
  • Understands trends and emerging challenges of the customer base, market, and industry.
  • Applies business and project understanding to focus project / team’s efforts.

Experience

  • BA/BS degree and 4-6 years’ relevant experience OR equivalent education and relevant experience
  • Expert level analytical and presentation abilities
  • Expert level IP business processes and best practices

 

Other

  • Ability to physically perform general office requirements.
  • Must be able to perform essential responsibilities with or without reasonable accommodations.
  • Travel including overnight trips may be required
