FloSports, a leader and innovator in digital sports media, is currently seeking an Senior IT Manager to join our IT team. This role will ultimately be responsible for keeping our technology running safely and efficiently 24/7. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on leader for a small IT team that manages end user help desk requests, onboarding/off-boarding of employees, internal systems and cloud services, IT infrastructure and our data networks. This position is based in Austin, Texas. 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Measure, monitor, and maintain team’s ability to meet or exceed KPIs related to JIRA ticket resolution and ensure continuous improvement
  • Develop and implement business continuity protocols to minimize disruption to business operations in the event of emergency situations or data loss
  • Analyze IT infrastructure and systems performance to assess operating costs, productivity levels, upgrade requirements, and other metrics and needs
  • Facilitate IT security audits, oversee the network and system access control and maintain security groups
  • Develop training and policies for company-wide best security practices
  • Create IT policies and processes with HR as relates to the technology usage 
  • Work with our inventory and logistics team to proactively order all IT items needed for employees
  • Manage company’s infrastructure (WAN/LAN networking, server hardware/software, virtual and cloud storage systems and desktop support)
  • Plan system implementation and lifecycle maintenance to include patching, upgrades, migrations and decommissioning servers and end points
  • Help configure and manage enterprise software solutions like Slack, Dropbox, Jira, Google Hangout and SalesForce 
  • Lead infrastructure builds in new and current facilities
  • Lead vendor assessments for new and existing vendors and technologies
  • Manage internal IT communications and activities, keeping all stakeholders updated with clear and timely communication 
  • Maintain an in-depth knowledge of our systems and tools
  • Hire, train, manage and develop a team of IT professionals
  • Stay abreast of trends and regulations to ensure innovation and compliance

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Excellent working knowledge of computer systems, security, network and systems administration, databases and data storage systems, and phone systems
  • 6+ years in information technology and information security
  • 2+ years in a people management role
  • Strong knowledge of aspects of system administration including the ability to configure, manage and troubleshoot physical and virtual machines
  • Experience administering Mac OS, including MDM principles
  • Experience deploying, configuring and managing enterprise software applications, Atlassian ang G Suite products are a huge plus
  • Hands on experience maintaining an enterprise network
  • Demonstrates initiative and sense of urgency in accomplishing tasks and projects
  • Excellent customer service and problem-solving skills
  • Solid organizational and follow-through skills, performing work accurately with strong attention to detail and documentation
  • Experienced in making data-driven decisions
  • Ability to meet deadlines and effectively prioritize a fast-paced and varied workload

BONUS POINTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in CIS or a related area
  • IT experience at an MSP or media company
  • Certifications: CCNA, Network+
