Your Impact

The DISCO People Team is on a mission to create a magical experience for current and future Discovians.  Our Senior Manager, People Operations will focus on designing, building, and improving people operations processes that scale with our rapid organizational growth.  Our People Operations team are critical problem-solvers, data-driven storytellers and effective process designers.  You will lead our team of talented coordinators and analysts focused on talent acquisition and people operations, ensuring career development and coaching, in addition to achieving results. 

What You'll Do

  • Lead continuous process improvement initiatives to elevate the employee experience and drive operational excellence
  • Responsible for delivery of the operating model and processes related to the employee lifecycle including Onboarding, Offboarding, Compliance, Immigration, Contingent Workforce Management, and People Support model
  • Drive process design and implementation of technology-enabled processes that drive efficiency for the People team
  • Take initiative to always ask and answer the question, “how can we do better?” to identify, create, and deliver guidance and programs that elevate the company while continually driving the mentality of “raising the bar”
  • Collaborate cross-functionally both, within the people team and across other organizations to align goals, projects and ensure connected processes
  • Manage a team direct reports in operational areas. Lead and develop employees into a highly effective team by setting clear performance objectives and goals, regular and honest feedback, and individualized development plans.
  • Understand priorities related to the people team strategy, and build the operational roadmap; establish milestones, create project plans, and communicate updates to related stakeholders
  • Ability to be proactive and flexible in fast-paced, ever changing environment
  • Partner across people operations to develop and deliver analytics across the employee lifecycle (i.e. global talent dashboard, diversity metrics, talent acquisition metrics, internal movement, retention, etc.)
  • Ensure alignment to HR-related compliance requirements by performing regular internal audits 

Who You Are

  • 8+ years of experience in human resources/people team experience
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education/experience 
  • 3+ years of experience leading people operations, including people management
  • We are data driven. Possess strong data analysis capabilities and a track record of understanding data needed to proactively analyze situations, identify business needs, and being creative in your solutioning
  • Experience in people technology including HCM, ATS, etc. (Workday and Greenhouse experience preferred)
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to adjust to your audience, collaborate cross functionally, and simplify complex messages 
  • You must be highly ethical and maintain confidentiality in your HR role
  • Change is constant in DISCO’s growth environment – know when and how to introduce meaningful change leveraging the principles of change management with the goal of quick adoption
  • Have a mindset that looks for ways to reduce friction for the business and rejects the notion of rules just for “rules sake” but rather have the courage to suggest what is the right thing for both the employee and the business
  • Outstanding Excel/Google Sheets & Powerpoint/Google Slides skills for analyzing, reporting, and presentations.

  • Experience in high-tech SaaS or legal domain
  • Experience scaling a high growth company and who has a mix of startup and enterprise level experience.
