    The Supervisor, Social Work will support the Director, Collections & Evictions by managing the day to day operations of the Main Street Renewals social work group. Supervising additional team members on daily tasks, managing workflows, and insuring timeline expectations for assistance and goals are being met. The Social Work Supervisor will be the main contact for all social work support provided through Main Street Renewal.

    • To set and influence Main Street Renewal’s process, policies, and procedures with the appropriate parties as it relates areas supervised.
    • Ability to identify trends or issues and develop solutions and actions plans to resolve them in a timely fashion as they relate to evictions.
    • To gather data and create functional/information reporting that represents status, effectiveness, and issues.
    • Supervise Main Street Renewals partnership with the University of Texas Social Work program including students at various levels.
    • To manage overall workflow and daily tasks required to support Main Street Renewal’s Care program.  
    • To determine and set key performance indicators for both the overall team expectations and individual team members.
    • Prepare exception reporting and create action plans to resolve issues.
    • Assisting with coordination of client services with social worker and staff
    • Assisting and facilitating case management/support
    • Updating files and contacting families
    • Assisting with client and donor database
    • Answer phones and providing service to residents.
    • Contact clients and coordinate care (education, support group meetings, emergency financial assistance, etc.)
    • Research services, such as rent assistance, that are available to their clients in their communities and provide referrals
    • Coordinate services provided to clients with staff
    • Check in with clients to ensure that services are provided appropriately and to check on their well-being
    • Provide client education regarding their health and needs (training will be provided)
    • Update client files and thoroughly notate client contacts in client files (provide weekly reports of contacted families)
    • Participate in organization events and health fairs
    • Assist clients with emergency financial assistance application
    • Provide written participation reports of all activities and events
    • Other duties as needed or required.
    • Supervision Received:

      This position will report to the Director, Evictions & Collections.

      Qualifications & Skills:

      REQUIRED:

    • Experience with case management and/or support
    • Social Work experience a plus (license not required)
    • Experience with Internet, Email, Excel, and Microsoft Office
    • Previous Case worker/non-profit experience a plus
    • Previous experience in conducting support group meetings, client services and/or customer service skills preferred
    • Time Management and Organizational skills to effectively manage your day as well as the tasks by your direct reports.
    • Leadership Skills: Be able to motivate employees, resolve team conflicts, and manage your team’s day to day and monthly responsibilities
    • Limited travel is required for this position.
    • Deals with confidential information and/or issues using discretion and judgment.
