Systems Specialist
The Role:
AlertMedia is looking for a Systems Specialist to join our newly formed Global Intelligence team. You will establish a portfolio of products and systems to support Analysts around the world in surfacing potential threats and critical events for our customers. You will manage all sources of information, identifying the best public, subscription, and social tools while training and implementing them across the Global Intelligence team. This position requires a self-starter who will take ownership of finding, analyzing and integrating products and systems while consistently evaluating each to ensure our teams have the best resources to bring our clients the most important and accurate information quickly.

You are a proactive researcher, staying up to date with the best and most useful products while also auditing for upgrades and feature changes that need to be relayed back to the business. You are a willing teacher and proactive communicator, able to effectively educate others on best practices and act as a subject matter expert on systems and tools your team needs to effectively do their job. You're inspired to make a difference and understand the importance and responsibility of supporting valued customers during critical events. You are an independent problem solver but also capable of working collaboratively in support of a larger team and cross-functionally.

What you will do:
- Identify and manage a portfolio of tools used by the Global Intelligence team to surface threats and events around the world that have the potential to impact the business of our clients and their employees’ safety
- Work with vendors and AlertMedia’s product team to integrate sources into a dashboard for ease of use by Analysts
- Continuously evaluate current sources and tools to ensure the team is using the best, most accurate, and reliable sources
- Serve as the subject matter expert on all tools, feeds and dashboards used by the Global Intelligence team
- Develop a deep understanding of the workflow of the Global Intelligence Analysts in order to understand what systems or tools are most needed
- Become an expert in criteria which identifies an event or incident for AlertMedia customers
Requirements:
- 3+ Years experience in systems analysis, procurement, integration management
- Extensive experience researching tools and systems within a past organization that had to meet specific business requirements
- Past experience managing a database of tools and products, as well as any upgrades or feature changes associated with them
- Proven ability to oversee and deliver a training process in relation to tools and features
- Oversee initial conversation and demos of prospective product and feed partnerships
- Experience partnering with finance and legal teams
- Strong understanding of social media tools and platforms such as Twitter or Facebook as well as RSS feeds
- General knowledge of current events
- Must be located in the Austin, TX area or willing to relocate
