Core responsibilities:

• Operate as subject matter expert to customers, provide insights from years of experience, and help leave their security better than when we found it
• Optimize existing product offerings, refine methodologies and deliverables, and help grow the skillsets of the team
• Research cutting edge adoption patterns and create new security offerings that meet emerging customer needs 
• Generate thought leadership that helps establish Praetorian as the premier cloud security company
• Provide technical mentorship to less experienced engineers and help improve team tradecraft, techniques, and tooling

Desired qualifications:

• 15+ years of cybersecurity experience 
• Experience with asset risk analysis and translating business objectives to security objectives and vice versa
• Experience with offensive security concepts, attack patterns, and defense patterns
• Experience with cutting-edge technology stacks and modern security technologies
• Experience with common design patterns, blueprints, and architectures
• Strong communication skills both oral and written
• BS in computer science, engineering, physics, or mathematics

Additional +1 qualifications:

• Familiarity with the public cloud and popular cloud providers such as Azure, AWS, & GCP
• Familiarity with containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, rapid development patterns, and devsecops best-practices
• Experience mentoring and teaching less experienced, but passionate technical teams
• Prior product development experience with an ability to cut code a major plus
• Prior security consulting experience a major plus
• MS in computer science, engineering, physics, or mathematics a plus

Compensation & Benefits:

Targeted Base Salary:

• Annual Base of 200K - 220K
• To account for higher cost of living areas, we have modified our salaries for the following metropolitan areas:
  • Seattle: 231K - 254K 
  • New York: 241K - 265K 
  • Boston: 210K - 231K 
  • Washington DC: 210K - 231K
  • San Francisco: 265K - 291K
