We're looking to add a new node to the Elastic Product cluster as part of the Product Management team. One of the most important and visible portions of the Elastic Stack is our user interface, Kibana. Kibana is the window through which our users view Elastic. It’s used for everything from building custom data visualizations, to monitoring the health of the cluster, to digging into security alerts triggered on remote machines. In this role, you will be responsible for core services of the Kibana platform. As an extension of those services, you will also be defining Elastic’s strategy for product usage analytics across the organization. To be successful, you will need to be a self-starter, detail-oriented, and cross-functional.

What You Will Be Doing:

You will work with product management, sales, engineering, senior leadership and other internal partners to position and grow the adoption of the Elastic by enabling teams to develop faster, provide consistent experiences and make data driven decisions through our telemetry platform.

You will be responsible for:

• Gathering, synthesizing, and disseminating feedback from internal and external partners to support business requirements for core platform services and product usage analytics.
• Lay out a product strategy and prioritization for new services that will provide value to application teams across Elastic, enabling our customers, users and community to be successful
• Defining our long-term product analytics roadmap and evolving our telemetry platform to derive meaningful insights about how our products are being used
• Providing mentorship to engineering teams on the data models and statistics required to answer the quantitative questions that will help grow our business
• Work across all teams at Elastic to ensure our core services and product usage analytics are accurately supported, promoted, and utilized by the community and internal partners

What You Bring Along:

You are a “full stack” product manager having experience with backend & frontend components, modern API services, application design concepts and UI frameworks.

You are broadly knowledgeable of modern ingest pipelines, ETL processes, statistical analysis techniques, data visualization, the customer lifecycle and product adoption funnels.

You excel when working in a very cross-functional role, with a highly distributed team and have experience effectively communicating across these teams.

You are comfortable enabling internal partners and evangelizing best practices.
