SamCart creates beautiful one-page websites that showcase your products, convert visitors into customers, and increase the value of each purchase.  SamCart is a web-based check out platform that features conversion-optimized checkout templates along with 1-click upsells, subscription and payment plan capabilities that are designed to maximize profits from every sale.

As our product offerings continue to expand, we are building new infrastructure to scale with our business’s growing complexities. As a PM in our Austin office, you’ll own the strategy, product roadmap, and business outcomes for our eCommerce product.  You’ll work with a cross functional group of client facing teams, engineers, marketing, and data roles, to translate define intuitive business requirements, shepard those requirements throughout the development process and finally own the release of these features into the wild.

As our first dedicated Product Manager hire, if you are looking to own a key part of developing our eCommerce product, work with a cross functional group of teams, and able to build out product management processes, then this role is for you.

SamCart is a venture backed and cash flow positive early stage startup, being comfortable navigating ambiguity in a startup environment is a must.  

Key responsibilities:

• Develop requirements for new features and products, by working with stakeholders across the global business and research.

• Work directly with the Head of Product to ensure the product ecosystem is being designed to scale.

• Prioritize features based on product strategy and global business objectives.

• Maintain and communicate the roadmap for your features and product.

• Understand and communicate how your product is used in market, based on customer feedback, research and data, feeding back into future requirements and product roadmap

• Work with UI/UX team to create solutions that are compelling, easy to use and realistic to implement

• Work with engineering teams to ensure we build the right thing and ship it at the right time

• Drive innovation and support product launch activities. 

• Leverage data to make product decisions and quantify performance improvements.

• Track and communicate progress along the way to various stakeholders.

• Coordinate directly with clients to get direct customer feedback on a variety of projects.

• Simultaneously manage different projects, deadlines, and requests without breaking a sweat.

We are looking for someone who:

• You have worked directly with engineers in product management roles for 2-4+ years.

• Experience working in a B2B or B2C SaaS company.

• You’re a creative product thinker who loves collaborating across the company with engineering, analytics, marketing, design and sales

• You MUST be Technical.  You’ve had experience designing and developing APIs, working with code, or are able to understand technical levels of effort.

• You understand other disciplines and bring everyone together using clear communication and strong structured thinking.

• You are able to prioritize in a sea of feature requests and competing interests.

• You are a natural at project managing multiple small and large projects at the same time and getting things done.

• You have a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business, Management or a related field.
