The Opportunity
Magento has the largest commerce ecosystem in the world, with over 300,000 developers actively using and enhancing our product. Magento's open and extensible platform is foundational to that success. Magento is looking for an experienced product manager responsible for owning Magento's Extension Ecosystem. You will work with a cross-functional team of engineers, customers, customer support agents, marketers, and partners to help build and maintain a roadmap and measure its success at delivering customer and partner value. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of various commerce functions, experience working with 3rd party partners, a strong attention to detail, and a passion for technology.
What you’ll do
High-level strategy and roadmap governance for the Extension Ecosystem
Manage vendor and partner relationships and coordinate on roadmap objectives
Improve the technical integration processes and tools to facilitate higher velocity and quality across the ecosystem
Work cross-functionally with Support, Engineering, and Release Management teams to ensure feature alignment, product quality, and timely releases
Coordinate enablement and training sessions with Marketing, Sales, and Support teams
Work closely with Product Marketing to ensure consistent and accurate messaging across all touch points
Subject Matter Expert for assigned product domains
Work with product development in a Lean, Agile environment
What you need to succeed
2-6 years of experience in digital product management, business analysis, solutions engineering, or similar discipline
Experience working with third-parties on technology and product-based integrations
Experience working with 2-way marketplaces
Experience working with open source software products strongly desired
Experience with Agile software integration practices, CI/CD, automation testing
Previous delivery of successful products or significant new product features to market
Creative problem solver, analytic thinker, and quick learner; Strong conceptual and creative problem-solving skills; ability to work with considerable ambiguity
Results-motivated self-starter; relentlessly resourceful and scrappy
Ability to manage multiple projects in a dynamic environment and adapt to evolving business initiatives
Tremendous attention to detail; process-oriented & organized
