This position may be located in Urbandale, IA or Austin, TX per the hiring manager's discretion. This may be dependent on the successful candidate's background, experience, and proficiency.
This position is eligible for remote work at the present time. The arrangement may be delayed for training or other job acclimation purposes and remains subject to change.
Your Responsibilities
As a Technology Product Manager for John Deere Intelligent Solutions Group located in Urbandale, IA or Austin, TX, or Remote, you will:
- Define the vision and strategy for Machine-to-Machine Coordination products
- Define the customer problems to be solved and lead a cross-functional team of engineers and UX designers to craft technical solutions to solve them
- Prioritize work for the product team based on value to the customer and the business
- Own the success of the product, defined by clear success metrics

What Skills You Need
- A passion for agriculture and technology and its potential to enhance lives
- 3+ years of experience building technology products
- Big picture leader that can think strategically but also get the nitty gritty detail right
- Knowledge of the agriculture industry and its customers
- Ability to craft solutions to complex problems
- Ability to lead cross-cutting initiatives that span multiple functional areas (e.g. engineering, product marketing, user experience)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to inspire and rally a team
What Makes You Stand Out
- Experience building technology products in a product management role
- Solid design sensibilities and ability to create simple products that users love
- Don't need to write code, but technical enough to engage with engineers directly
- Business strategy and business case definition experience
Education
Ideally, you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, business or similar
