What You Would Do Here:
Cloudflare is growing our People & Places team. Our focus is getting the best people to work at Cloudflare and then allowing them to do their best work. As we continue to build out our People team, we are looking for a trusted partner to help drive large scale system solutions that make the People team and our partners more efficient, effective and productive. We are in the early stages of building out system infrastructure that will help Cloudflare scale thoughtfully and this is a great opportunity to shape the strategic direction of our tools roadmap and see a tremendous amount of impact from your work.
You will work very closely with our entire People team and our cross functional partners to understand business needs and design/implement solutions that help us reach functional and strategic goals. You will figure out how to get the most out of our existing systems (primarily Workday but other tools as well), identify gaps and ensure your solutions are fully adopted and effective. This role requires an ability to design technical solutions (coding ability a strong plus) but also speak plainly and in non-technical terms with business users. Reporting to the Head of People Systems and Operations, you must partner effectively with all levels of the organization, lead others, drive results, proactively identify and resolve problems, and make challenging decisions.
Who You Are:
Motivated by innovation and creating a world class employee tools experience, you have been drawn to or served on a People/HR team at some point in your 8+ years of work experience. You are able to think both strategically and tactically to design and execute on a systems strategy that will transform how the HR team works. You are familiar with a wide variety of people systems and data tools, but have enough grit to start with the basics in Excel and/or Google docs. You may even have coding ability and like to build applications in your spare time. You have an entrepreneurial spirit and are always looking for ways to innovate. You understand business logic across systems and are able to lead implementations of new system integrations and troubleshoot issues with existing integrations. You are comfortable juggling multiple complex projects at once and context switching with ease throughout the day. You have a collaborative approach and enjoy sharing knowledge and teaching others. You approach problems with a growth mindset and are naturally curious to learn more and try new things. You enjoy ideating with peers about both short and long term goals and thinking outside the box to create best in class solutions that are uniquely suited to Cloudflare’s needs.
- Provide functional and technical expertise for Workday, Greenhouse and any future People technology systems, including business process configuration, report development, integration design and configuration, and data management.
- Recommend business process improvements to better prepare the company for scale and growth and be inventive in a dynamic work environment.
- Maintain existing system integrations and lead the implementation of new integrations. Partner with integration developers on all phases of deployment and troubleshooting.
- Drive change management for tools and solutions you are delivering.
- Lead large, global implementations of either new systems or new functionality within existing systems. Own entire process from requirements gathering, documentation, testing strategy and execution, communication/change management, and ensure highest level of adoption as new system features or functional areas are rolled out.
- Boost team productivity with simple custom solutions with google app script, R script, or any other coding language you may be familiar with.
