Deal Strategy Desk - Senior Analyst
Role Description
As a Deal Strategy Desk Analyst on our team in Austin, you will be a powerful advocate that helps our Americas Sales & Channel team drive revenue, enables contract velocity and deal structure guidance. Joining the Deal Strategy Desk team on Global Sales & Channel Operations, you will act as the trusted sales guide to execute complex deal structures and terms, think critically and proactively to identify improved processes and approaches, and synthesize information from multiple sources to drive deal execution across all sales verticals.
In this role, you will strategically partner with our Sales team to structure proposals and contracts that mutually benefit both our external customers and internal cross-functional teams. This individual contributor role is a true value-add partner and considered the business liaison to the sales organization and reports to the Americas Deal Strategy Desk lead.
Responsibilities
- Craft proposals as the go to liaison between our sales team and legal/finance
- Develop an in depth understanding of licensing models and recommend contract structures
- Ensure adherence to our quote to contract processes and policies for our sales team
- Maintain scaleable operations to increase contract velocity and efficiency
- Partner with cross-functional teams including Finance and Legal to review or address revenue recognition concerns for non standard deal structures.
- Serve as the point of contact and subject matter expert on deal constructs, special pricing, operations, and revenue policies for ad hoc troubleshooting of deal issues and sales escalations.
Requirements
- 3–6 years of experience in a sales operations function
- Self starter with prior experience with complex, cross-functional pricing & proposal execution across sales, legal, and finance
- Clear and thoughtful communicator with exceptional critical thinking skills
- Ability to analyze and recommend licensing structures and contract terms
- Prior experience with Salesforce and quote to contract tools and process
- Self-motivated, innovative and has ability to lead both external (partners) and internal stakeholders directly and by influence is needed
- Superior interpersonal, verbal and written communication and presentation skills
- Willing to deal with dynamic learning environment
- An in-depth understanding of the sales process and the ability to navigate and progress complex sales cycles
