We are looking for a Director of Sales who has the ability to lead an extremely hungry sales organization. The Director of Sales is the most critical to the implementation, adoption and ultimately the success of the entire sales organization. They are expected to have the ability to understand the process we have in place, sell the product themselves, maximize sales revenue, put in ecosystem to ramp-up new hires effectively, develop career paths tailored to each individual and most importantly, lead by example. The ideal Director of Sales is experienced in sales and who also has a track record of developing well rounded leaders and sales professionals. They will have the unique ability to remove emotion from decision making and rely on KPIs & data to lead based on empirical evidence. The Director of Sales will have to exhibit strong relationship building skills and must work cross-departmentally to hit strategic goals for the business. This position will directly impact the sales organization’s revenue flow and you must be confident that you have what it takes to ensure success for OutboundEngine as a whole.

What you will do:

  • Ability to lead and organize the efforts of a sales management team of ~8 managers across Austin TX & Phoenix AZ
  • Organize & deliver regimen for recursive training and development
  • Ability to motivate and lead a Sales Organization of ~100 people
  • Ability to work inter-departmentally to support the goals of the business as a whole while not sacrificing sales velocity
  • Work with fellow sales managers to gather and interpret information on metrics to drive and close business
  • Able to use conversion metrics of sales floor to make strategic decisions for lead routing/ownership, ad-hoc campaign pushes,
  • Continuously analyze macro KPI and effort statistics and make iterations in order to achieve forecasted daily revenue targets
  • Work creatively to create a unique sales culture that positively impacts the sales organization
  • Aid the sales management team in every aspect of fostering and developing solid forecastable sales transactions
  • Prepare and conduct regular sales meetings with your team and department
  • Review sales performance of your salespeople and motivate and stimulate them to even greater achievements
  • Ability to support sales managers by assisting their reps in the sales process when necessary through call coaching by verbally feeding them line by line, in the moment
  • Possess a strong sense of urgency that is clearly communicated to the sales organization

  • Excellent questioning, qualification, objection handling and closing skills
  • Ability to identify appropriate sales strategies to execute on a sales plan
  • A self-starter who thrives under pressure to achieve challenging goals
  • Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment
  • Comfortable with change under any circumstance
  • Proficient in Salesforce, Google Suite, and Microsoft Suite
  • A great sense of humor and the ability to navigate an extremely stressful position
