About the Position  

We are seeking a Sales Operations Manager to partner with our sales leadership team to enable scalable growth by ensuring the sales team has the information, tools, and support they need to focus on selling. The manager is responsible for managing and reporting to CFO on a wide range of data, largely focused on Sales and Operations. We are seeking a highly-motivated professional with experience in operational metrics, sales financial modeling, and KPI analysis. This position will calculate and communicate team productivity, revenue and/or recommended strategic direction to sales and executive management.

The Sales Ops Leader will oversee key areas such as quarterly planning, targeting and segmentation, tools optimization and management reporting. This role is ultimately responsible for supporting the day to day effectiveness and productivity of the Sales Organization.

Responsibilities

  • Manage key performance indicators, measure sales productivity, and prepare reporting packages on weekly, monthly, and quarterly results/KPIs to executive management
  • Oversee the Sales Operations team in developing and driving our sales roadmap, including enabling efficiencies to the core business. Drive the agenda for operational review & sprint meetings while taking input from all parts of sales leadership
  • Consolidate and manage daily, monthly, quarterly operational reporting for the sales department
  • Report and analyze various business channels, segments, and campaigns
  • Own, manage and enhance commission structure by working with senior leaders to maximize sales productivity
  • Track and report on plan vs variance for quota, comp, and budgets
  • Plan and execute the tactical elements of sales to develop best practices and continuously improve effectiveness: sales processes, selling practices, productivity metrics, quota planning, compensation plan design, segment design, and departmental communications (Finance & Marketing)
  • Proactively identifies opportunities for sales process improvement within all Sales tools: Salesforce, Outreach.io, Sales Navigator, Gmail, etc
  • Support the tasks related to the development and maintenance of Sales data and reporting dashboards for sales operations
  • Perform ad-hoc analysis on a variety of quantitative and qualitative data sources to identify opportunities for revenue growth

Qualifications

  • Exceptionally metric focused. You really want to build measurement and tracking tools to put data at the center of decision making. You like data. You like data a lot.
  • Deep understanding of Salesforce. You will be a primary thought leader on our configuration, and will ultimately be in charge of maintaining the Salesforce strategy and vision for sales.
  • Ability to build highly complex models with vlookups, pivots, index matches, and ideally macros. And you can teach others how to do this. Alternatively, if you’re well versed in python scripting to get the job done.
  • Excels in positions of project leadership and have the ability to execute on complex initiatives. This includes a background with agile/scrum project management methodology.
  • Strong belief that other perspectives create better solutions – you foster this attitude with your peers. People really like partnering with you.
  • Thrives in problem-solving. You have the insight to identify problems, address a problem, and collaboratively develop a solution.

Requirements

  • Entrepreneurial, proactive, operate under minimal supervision + High tolerance for ambiguity and complexity.
  • 6+ years of work experience in Sales, Sales Operations, Sales Analytics, Finance, or Operations.
  • Experience building a sales operations team, process, and tech stacks
  • Deep understanding of sales pipelines, funnels, and processes
  • Experience with data visualization and building scalable reporting tools.
  • Clear, strategic thinker with vision, with the ability to execute on priorities.
  • Proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Knowledge of Salesforce, SQL
  • Strong organization and attention to detail
