Inside Sales Representative

We’re looking for committed Inside Sales Representative to join our team. As a critical member of the sales team you will be responsible for identifying, nurturing and closing new sales opportunities under $40K in annual contract value. You will work in partnership with the outside sales team to meet the territory sales quota. Your goal will be to uncover, develop and sell qualified sales opportunities for yourself and for your outside sales partner by teaching and tailoring our prospects’ experience. This is a challenging, exciting role that will test your sales skills, strategic thinking capabilities, and ability to remain focused and follow-through on plans.
What you will do as an Inside Sales Representative:
  • Lead effective conversations across multiple stakeholder levels and roles within an institution, understanding how internal and external business drivers affect the industry, institution and individuals and how Civitas Learning solutions support business and mission objectives.
  • Gain a deep understanding of the higher education procurement process as well as the institutional, student success initiatives, and the solution we are bringing to market.
  • Commit to a high level of activity with calls and email to cover your territory.
  • Consistently build and manage an effective pipeline.
  • Communicate proactively with your outside sales partner and leadership throughout each phase of the sales process.
  • Gain commitment.
  • Work diligently with speed, efficiency and precision.
  • Participate in team-building and training, where you will learn from colleagues and continue to hone your ability to add value to your relationships by challenging and problem-solving.
What we’re looking for in an Inside Sales Representative: 
  • Bachelor’s Degree and at least 3 to 5 years experience in sales, bonus points for previous experience working in education technology or in a startup environment.
  • Experience with the Challenger Sale methodology is ideal.
  • Outstanding oral and written communication skills, with the ability to present to stakeholders.
  • Proven track record of success in previous sales roles.
  • Authorization to work in the U.S.
