Sales Engineer

We help our customers’ cyber security and technology teams discover, prioritize and treat the most important risks based on real-time risk analytics, automated risk assessments, and remediation. With actionable insights and timely communications provided by our software, our customers are reducing their response times to the constantly changing and emerging threats and saving their business from potential negative and significant impacts.
Our Senior Sales Engineer is the technical member of the Sales team. They are the subject matter expert to both customers and the Account Executives as they collaborate to find the solution that works best to meet our customers' needs and requirements. The Sales Engineers enjoy technical talks with the customers, really digging into the details and areas of concern and then paint the picture for the non-technical person so we can achieve success for our customers with our products.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
Actively participate in the sales process and work closely with the direct and channel sales teams
Be the Subject Matter Expert (SME) on our product and integrations – both the technical and the sales strategies
Understand the customer requirements, concerns, and gaps to align our solutions and exceed their expectations
Continuously maintain your knowledge and expertise in cyber security risk, vulnerability management, cloud security, and endpoint security to provide the best customer experience with Brinqa solutions
With your excellent communication skills, you will present Brinqa business functions, value and competitive differences
You will be front and center providing product demonstrations to prospective customers (including technical and non-technical audiences)
You will be a valued partner in developing our RFP responses
As a trusted technical advisor, you will participate in onsite and remote Proof of Concept evaluations
Partner with Product Management on product enhancements by providing feedback from those interactions with our customers.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
4+ Years in related Cyber Security & SaaS roles (Technical Support, CSM, TAM, Pre-Sales Engineer, etc.)
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with an emphasis on clear follow up process
Thorough understanding of APIs and technical integrations
Ability to juggle multiple projects and stakeholders
Ability to gather and understand customer requirements efficiently and able to act as an SME when needed
Ability to see trends in requests or issues across our customer base and communicate those proactively
Ability to clearly articulate technical issues to both technical and non-technical audiences, executives and explain their impact on business both internal and external to the organization
Excellent problem solving, critical thinking, analytical and development skills
AND IDEALLY
Work with cyber security risk, vulnerability management, cloud Security, and endpoint security technologies
Familiarity with Scripting languages including Groovy, JSON, GraphQL, and SQL
Currently Brinqa is focused on hiring individuals who reside in Texas and California.
