Senior Carrier Sales Representative

The Senior Carrier Sales Representative role provides you with a unique opportunity to join a high growth, tech-enabled third-party logistics company as they pivot into a record breaking 4th year. We are looking for a seasoned Carrier Representative who can come in and make an impact and help take Shipwell to the next level. This role has an incredible career path with career growth opportunities and an attractive compensation package. Upon boarding, you will be integrated into the existing Carrier Sales department where you will use our state of the art technology to procure more trucks than you ever have before. Using various means of communication coupled with a state of the art technology platform, you will ensure that Shipwell continues to provide elite service to our flourishing customer base by means of strategic negotiation and team collaboration. 

What you’ll do when you get here:

  • Develop and manage your carrier book of business to achieve sales targets
  • Reach and exceed the required load coverage, app percentage sales, and margin goals
  • Negotiate rates with drivers and dispatchers and sell prospects on working with Shipwell and utilizing the App and Load Board
  • Train your carrier base to utilize our unique load board 
  • Make outbound/inbound calls with dispatchers and drivers to cover freight, solve problems, and mitigate issues
  • Coach junior members and new hires
  • Identify and communicate ways the company can continuously improve in its operations through a sales process which result in additional sales revenues

What you need to have:

  • 3+ years’ experience in Carrier Sales
  • FTL Experience (Dry Van, Reefer, Flatbed)
  • Leadership qualities to mentor and train new carrier representatives
  • Bachelor’s Degree is preferred but not required
  • Ability to problem solve, think quickly and make educated business decisions
  • Highly motivated with the ability to pursue and close business
  • Superior written, presentation and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment, while also delivering independent results
  • Strong ability to persuade, motivate and influence others
  • Ability to prioritize, multi-task and manage time effectively

We're fully distributed, but our HQ is located downtown Austin where plenty of trendy bars, restaurants, and shops are located within walking distance
