WP Engine is looking for a Senior Sales Planning Analyst to help support our growing Sales organization. This high visibility role will be focused on delivering analytics to drive key sales planning functions like sales compensation design, quota setting, and sales forecasting. Success in this role is defined by proactively identifying inefficiencies, streamlining existing planning processes, and delivering analytical insights that influence strategic decisions. You will be a key collaborator in accelerating top line growth at WP Engine.

You will perform analysis on a wide range of topics related to our deals, our customers, our sales rep performance, and other areas. Additionally, you will be involved with helping to orchestrate appropriate plans of action to take our Sales organization forward faster.

  • Work with a high volume of pipeline and opportunity data

The Day to Day
Our Sales Operations team is the engine that drives our sales systems and
processes, with a laser focus on revenue and scale. SOps empowers our Sales
organization with best-in-market tools and enables data driven strategy. Expect
to be immersed in a wide range of fast paced, revenue-centric projects and
analyses. Some of the things you might be working on include:

  • Partner with Finance to model sales forecasts for yearly planning
  • Work cross functionally with Employee Experience (HR), Finance, Rev Ops, and Sales Leaderships to model and build Sales Compensation plans that drive sales growth while being mindful of budgets
  • Model sales team capacity based on reps, quotas, and targets to highlight hiring needs within the sales organization.
  • Executing on and working to streamline monthly reporting to Sales leaders and partners
  • Analyzing funnel metrics from various sources to continually stress test our go-to-market
  • Creating and delivering strategies in improving our go-to-market
  • Maximizing the impact of our business intelligence system (Looker)
  • Work cross-functionally on ad-hoc projects that are aligned to our strategic priorities


Your Expertise and Passion

  • Degree, Major or Minor: Business, Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, or related fields
  • Experience: Previous Sales Operations or Financial Analysis experience a plus, particularly at growth tech companies. Strong spreadsheet skills and Salesforce.com skills are essential. Competence with business intelligence tools (Looker in particular).
  • A passion for solving complex business problems with insightful analysis and data storytelling.
  • Intellectual curiosity and pattern recognition. You can spot dynamics in our business, establish a hypothesis, and then prove or disprove with the data.
  • Strong work ethic that aligns with the norms of this hard-working Sales Operations team.
  • Comfort in a fast paced, highly collaborative environment. You can operate in an environment where priorities change often.
