<b>Description</b><br><strong> Work Arrangement </strong> <br>This role is categorized as hybrid. This means the successful candidate is expected to report to Austin, TX or Palo Alto, CA three times per week, at minimum. <br><strong> Salesforce Software Engineer </strong> <br>As a Software Engineer (Salesforce / Java / Apex) at General Motors, you will be an integral part of an agile team that works to enhance, build, and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, scalable way. As a core technology contributor, you will be responsible for designing and developing critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas to support the organization's business objectives. <br><strong> What You will Do: </strong> <br><ul> <li> Work in a fast-paced environment with business, technology, and designers to build new capabilities, platforms, features and improving existing capabilities. </li> <li> Responsible for customizing, developing, and supporting solutions on the force.com platform </li> <li> Drive Salesforce enhancements and improvements. </li> <li> Build integrations between salesforce and other internal systems to automate business processes. </li> <li> Develop Apex (classes and triggers) and Java Script, Lightning Components, Lightning Web Components and Visualforce to extend Salesforce. </li> <li> Utilize best practices to perform operational support, enhancements, bug fixes as needed to the Salesforce.com platform. </li> <li> Possess knowledge of public Cloud architectures and systems like AWS, Azure including security aspects </li> <li> Help drive designs towards scalable platforms, asynchronous, functional, and reactive systems. </li> <li> Solve complex business and engineering problems </li> <li> Mentor and guide other engineers within the team </li> <li> Well-developed interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills including the ability to negotiate, advise, influence others, and work collaboratively. </li> <li> Verify solutions by writing and executing automated test classes. </li> <li> Document and analyze processes, procedures, and ensure code is properly documented. </li> <li> Create and maintain a code repository to ensure a seamless deployment process for all team members. </li> <li> Stay current on the latest trends and Salesforce releases. </li> <li> Self-directed, can solve business problems from inception to implementation, can solve business problems without explicit direction </li> </ul> <br><b>Additional Description</b><br><strong> Skills and Qualifications: </strong> <br><ul> <li> 5 years of experience programming with Force.com (APEX, Lightning Web Components), JavaScript (ES6), ReactJS or similar platforms </li> <li> 10 plus years of software development experience </li> <li> Extensive experience in designing and developing large scale technology solutions with substantial insights into Salesforce Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, and Communities </li> <li> Extensive understanding of Object Oriented (OO) design patterns </li> <li> Excellent understanding of Salesforce's SOQL and SOSL, Security model, Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Chatter and Force.com product offerings. </li> <li> Design experience in Salesforce Lightning UI </li> <li> Understanding of various user-based security models </li> <li> Experience with database concepts and data modeling design </li> <li> Extensive knowledge in modeling and application design and architecture </li> <li> Able to identify platform risks, issues and dependencies and communicate strategic risk to business executives and drive the mitigation across the business. </li> <li> Salesforce Platform Developer I, Platform Developer II, Platform App Builder certifications are a plus. </li> <li> Experience in automated testing (unit testing and functional testing) </li> <li> Strong Knowledge of Web Services (SOAP and REST) </li> <li> Exposure to AWS and SQL is a plus. </li> <li> Experience with system migrations </li> <li> Adept with agile software development lifecycle and DevOps principles </li> <li> Creative, flexible, and willing to continuously change, evolve, and improve software development processes. </li> <li> Strong time management skills and communication/leadership skills </li> <li> Experience developing with MuleSoft is a plus. </li> </ul> <br><strong> COMPENSATION: </strong> <br>The compensation information is a good faith estimate only. It is based on what a successful applicant might be paid in accordance with applicable state laws. The compensation may not be representative for positions <br>located outside of the California Bay Area. <br><ul> <li> The expected base compensation for this role is: $ 152,100 to 232,900 .
