Senior Staff Accountant
We are seeking a detail-oriented Senior Staff Accountant to join our Finance department. This full-time position reports to the Accounting Manager and is responsible for general accounting, including preparing journal entries, reports, and account reconciliations. Timeliness and accuracy are required to address tight deadlines and high standards.
Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing
  • Ensure accuracy of financial statements in accordance with GAAP and compliance to internal policies
  • Creation of various journals entries, including prepaid amortization, expense accruals, revenue, and depreciation
  • Consolidation, inter-company transactions and reconciliations
  • Correspond with other departments to ensure proper accounting for purchases and expenses
  • Prepare and analyze account reconciliations
  • Assist in reviewing financial statements for accuracy
  • Support Accounting Manager with analysis of monthly internal reports and research of variances
  • Obtain and maintain a thorough understanding of the financial reporting and general ledger structure
  • Assist in development and implementation of new procedures to enhance the workflow of the department
  • Ensure we are up to date with our various compliance, business licenses, and tax reporting obligations.
  • Ad hoc duties and analyses as needed


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting
  • CPA or CPA candidate 
  • 4+ years full cycle Accounting experience
  • Proficiency with Excel and other MS Office Applications
  • NetSuite experience is preferred
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Team player and ability to work independently
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including ability to interact effectively with all levels throughout the organization
