Atlassian is an established, publicly-traded tech company with a growing tax function. We are looking for a Tax Senior to join our US Income Tax team.
You will report to the US Tax Manager and will assist with the tax provision, compliance, and other tax matters. You will collaborate with our team of tax professionals in addition to our teammates in accounting, payroll, treasury, FP&A, and more. Compensation
At Atlassian, we strive to design equitable, explainable, and competitive compensation programs. To support this goal, the baseline of our range is higher than that of the typical market range, but in turn we expect to hire most candidates near this baseline. Base pay within the range is ultimately determined by a candidate's skills, expertise, or experience. In the United States, we have three geographic pay zones. For this role, our current base pay ranges for new hires in each zone are:
Zone A: $117,800 - $157,100
Zone B: $106,100 - $141,400
Zone C: $97,800 - $130,400
This role may also be eligible for benefits, bonuses, commissions, and equity.

• Help prepare the US federal and state income income tax provision for audited financial statements
• Gather information and prepare workpapers for US federal and state income tax compliance prepared by external advisors
• Utilize technology to support continuous improvement of our processes
• Complete tax research and miscellaneous other tax projects
• Communicate with federal or state tax authorities regarding applicable tax matters

• 2-4+ years of experience in public accounting (Big 4 preferred) and/or in-house corporate team
• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field required
• Master's degree in taxation preferred
• CPA or equivalent license required
• Understanding of ASC 740 and income tax accounting concepts including US tax treatment of stock compensation and state tax nexus
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel (including index/match and pivot tables) with an interest in process improvement and automation
• Experience with ERP software, tax provision and/or tax compliance software a plus
