Our Ways of Working

We have team members located across the United States spanning multiple time zones. This means we put in extra effort to make sure we connect and collaborate in ways that make sense for us. We know how valuable the flexibility of remote work is for our employees. 

We know that personal connection is the foundation for the great work we do together. In order to build those relationships with team members in other cities, we meet with coworkers in person two times a year at a full company offsite and a departmental offsite. These offsites are expected of employees and are great opportunities to meet the people you work with every day and to do some of the work that is much more difficult to do virtually.

Due to the nature of this role, you would be expected to be on-site at the Babylist Beverly Hills showroom at least 3 days a week (and potentially more if we are shooting content).

What the Role Is

We are seeking a Senior Video Producer to build out our very first production studio within the Babylist Beverly Hills showroom! This role will help us create video products that support our mission of helping growing families feel supported through their journey, get the right stuff, and celebrate the moment. We are looking for someone who has experience taking a plan from strategy to execution and helping to build out new processes within an existing organization. Reporting to the VP of Brand & Media and part of the broader marketing team, you will lead all efforts in helping to build our video production capabilities from the ground up and produce short and long form video content for our editorial, marketing, and ecommerce teams.

Who You Are

  • 7+ years experience as Video Producer or similar role, with a strong portfolio showcasing a range of video projects
  • Passion for storytelling (and a love of getting hands on with gear — baby or otherwise — is a plus!)
  • Experience creating original video content for a media company, consumer brand, marketing agency or production company 
  • Experience creating professional video content across multiple platforms. Specifically YouTube, TikTok, and Instagram Reels
  • Proficiency in video editing software and production tools, with a keen eye for visual storytelling and creative direction. (Bonus points if you have experience in final cut pro and adobe)
  • Hands-on experience in building and managing a production studio, including knowledge of studio design, equipment, and technical requirements.
  • Experience managing freelance and contractors, including budgets and timelines
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and guide teams to achieve exceptional results.
  • A track record of delivering high-quality video content that resonates with diverse audiences while also meeting business objectives
  • Excellent time management and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey information and ideas clearly to coordinate a team to finish a production on time and within budget
  • A portfolio of showing successful video projects or campaigns 

How You Will Make An Impact

  • Produce videos for campaigns and Babylist products across various platforms, such as TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube 
  • Work closely with key project stakeholders and content team members to produce videos for product detail pages, social media, and internal and external events
  • Collaborate with outside vendors/agencies to source additional footage and other assets
  • Lead the crew during shoots – setting the schedule and ensuring the content is being captured according to the vision
  • ​​Plan and organize shoots, including scouting and securing locations, storyboarding, conducting interviews, and overseeing the filming and editing process.
  • Oversee the hiring of talent, renting equipment, and coordinating logistics to ensure the successful completion of video projects.
  • Coordinate with post-production team and communicate direction for how the content should be edited
  • Maintain clear and consistent communication within the team and all parties involved
  • Be effective with time and budget. Be capable of tackling a one-day production, a one-week production and beyond

Babylist takes a market-based approach to pay, and pay may vary depending on your location. Your actual base salary will depend on factors such as your skills, qualifications, experience, and work location.

The estimated pay range for this role is $120,142.00 - $172,000.00

In addition, Babylist offers equity, bonus, and benefits, including company paid health, dental and vision insurance, 401(k) matching, flexible spending account, and paid leave (including PTO and parental leave) in accordance with our applicable plans and policies.
