As Strategic Ecosystem and Market Development Director, you will be part of the Advantest CTO team to fully leverage your role cross-functionally and across product lines in the ATE Business Group. In the increasingly interdependent world of semiconductor design and test, you will play a pivotal role in defining the ecosystem strategy, related solution development and product positioning of our cutting-edge solutions. Your leadership and strategic guidance will be instrumental in driving the growth of new solutions in adjacent markets beyond the current core of Advantest's ATE business.

Job Description:

  1. Ecosystem Strategy and Partnership Management:

    • Identify technology trends and market forces demanding or benefiting from collaborative solutions.
    • Establish EDA partnerships and lead customer relationships.
    • Drive the strategic alignment with partners and the cross-functional leadership in Advantest.
    • Establish and maintain a broad "executive network" to key partners and leading customers.
  2. Solution Development and Priority Setting:

    • Initiate new solution development in partnership with the CTO and BU leadership team.
    • Based on 3-way partnerships with EDA companies, lead customers and Advantest product generation, define a development roadmap of a cohesive portfolio of high-value solutions.
    • Leverage and extend Advantest's scalable platforms for sustainably differentiated and profitable products.
    • Work closely with Product Marketing, R D and Engineering teams to define and prioritize feature enhancements.
    • Assure conclusive validation of ecosystem solutions with lead customers and representative applications.
    • Ensure the ecosystem solutions align with Advantest's vision and meet evolving customer needs.
  3. Product Positioning and Strategic Business Development:

    • Support the creation and communication of compelling product positioning and messaging to effectively target key customer segments.
    • Support business creation by identifying and engaging with key stakeholders at customers

Requirements

Requirements (must):

  • Master degree or University degree or equivalent in Marketing, Business, Engineering or a related field
  • Proven experience (10+ years) in product management and/or R D management in the semiconductor industry, particularly in DFT, DV or EDA
  • Exceptional leadership and interpersonal skills, with a track record of successfully integrating collaborative projects with external partners and lead customers.
  • Deep understanding of the early semiconductor value chain (design, verification and test), including trends, technologies and key players
  • Strategic thinking; specifically, experience in identifying technology and market trends early and building technical and solution strategies based on this understanding
  • Ability to facilitate and understand highly technical discussions with experts and developers and drive cross functional teams
  • Seniority to engage and collaborate with executive management.
  • Ability and experience in growing an emerging business.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Working in an international environment, intercultural understanding.
  • Self-motivated individual with desire to learn, can-do attitude, aspiring to drive a vision into reality
  • Ability to travel as needed

Requirements (want):

  • Experience in managing an independent, emerging business.
  • Experience in developing commercial solutions with partners in an ecosystem
  • Experience in design, verification and bring-up of semiconductors.
  • Experience with agile development.
  • German language skills
