The Role

Tesla's manufacturing and factory operations are growing and evolving rapidly around the world to ensure Tesla's growth and achieve the transition to a more sustainable future. The equipment design and manufacturing engineering teams are constantly innovating and solving complex engineering problems.

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a Siemens PLM Support Engineer. As a part of the Engineering Technology and Operations team your contributions will revolutionize the way our engineers develop products. You will work towards maintaining the source of truth for engineering and manufacturing design, ensuring the right information reaches the right people at the right time. You will play a crucial role in handling complex data across varied formats, contributing to the continuous improvements of our enterprise-grade platform.

This role requires experience in Teamcenter and other related tools (NX, Line Designer, Process Simulate, SolidWorks, SolidWorks PDM, etc.). You should have a strong work ethic, a documentation-focused attitude, and a passion for making engineering efficient. Tesla is a fast-paced environment where you will work on key technologies of many extremely exciting products. This role is required to be onsite at Austin, TX.

Responsibilities

  • Provide remote and onsite technical support to internal Tesla engineers for Siemens software, focusing on Teamcenter and Line Designer processes
  • Document technical articles and contribute to growth of the support knowledge base
  • Understand business processes, help gather basic requirements, and validate solutions that are aligned with business goals
  • Work closely with software decision-makers and technical architects for new feature enhancements and resolving system bugs
  • Work with software vendors and application product teams to enable issues resolution and enhancements
  • Investigate and explore capabilities of engineering tools to improve design, manufacturing and change management
  • Monitor and track support request in a service desk application

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in the industry
  • Advanced knowledge of one or more of Teamcenter, NX, Line Designer, Process Simulate, Autodesk products, SolidWorks, SolidWorks PDM or Dassault Systemes applications
  • Knowledge of Active Workspace configurations, Business Modeler IDE, ITK or experience with custom workflows
  • Ability to communicate complex concepts with clarity through impeccable communication and documentation
  • Strong analytical skills, problem solving ability, and project management experience
  • Excellent customer service approach
  • Previous experience in a role involving CAD design, manufacturing engineering, user support, or business-user interactio
