The Opportunity

This position is a sales and account management role responsible for growing revenue by achieving acquisition sales, retention, online reservations adoption, and upsell targets across all product types and tiers. This includes subscription, pay-per-booking, add-ons services, and online reservations sign ups, increasing inventory and boosting online booking inventory that supports the company’s revenue goals and strategic objectives while also representing and understanding the B&B’s’ needs.

Responsibilities include:

  • Be able to clearly sell, sign-up and close all product features of the business from acquisition sales, retention, online reservations adoption, and upsells across all product types and tiers within market
  • Manage lead generation for a specific geographic territory. 
  • Follow up on leads generated via online sign-up process, marketing efforts and Expedia forwarding B&B leads.
  • Working within outbound and inbound call queues and call campaigns in support of sales strategies/directives, and other marketing activities. All activity tracked in Salesforce and performance based on this activity.
  • Be up-to-date on all promotions and special offers Marketing and Online Reservations are running for new listing sign-up, retention, upsells and third party distribution.
  • Work with properties to increase their inventory offering to maximize sales opportunities for both the property and BBCOM.
  • Some tradeshow attendance and workshop presentations maybe apply.
  • May include some travel to various market visits to further build and nurture relationships with properties and associations.
  • Pitch product offerings to B&B properties to boost connectivity to the online reservations program through Webervations and Rezovation software, ThinkRes, MyAllocator, and any additional connectivity partners we bring on in the future.
  • Quickly grasp technology service solutions and maintain an understanding of our marketplace including competitive landscape
  • Quickly identify prospect's needs, expectations and priorities and deliver a compelling reason for working with BedandBreakfast.com
  • Manage existing customers in responding to their requests, develop BedandBreakfast.com network and product awareness
  • Always maintain customer and prospects details and information updated into our CRM system
  • Ensure productive and cross functional relationships between Customer Support and Marketing to guarantee a high quality of service (feedback loop) and address our customers’ requests to the right person, if needed 
  • Escalate property issues to partner departments Customer Support (innkeeper support), Online Reservations support.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • 1-5 years Sales experience. College/university or Masters degree; a plus but not required
  • Consistent track record of achieving performance targets with a strong prospecting background
  • Foreign language a plus (French preferred)
