What we're looking for:

The Modernize Sales Leadership Team is looking to hire an experienced Sales Trainer. The trainer will be responsible for driving a measurable increase in sales-maker productivity through in-person coaching, creation/delivery of training curriculum, process improvements, and sales skills training.
The Sales Trainer will build, deliver, and maintain all training materials for all internal sales teams, ranging from origination to account management focus and from SMB to Enterprise accounts. The perfect candidate must be able to understand and convey complex technical/system concepts to sales teams through clear, actionable coaching and training. The individual should also have experience in training basic sales skills (value-based selling, overcoming objections, etc).

What you'll be doing:

  • Serve as in-person sales skills coach for team of 30+ salesmakers, delivering thoughtful analysis and actionable improvement plans
  • Develop and deliver sales skills training curriculum for all salesmakers based on industry best practices
  • Develop and deliver new hire sales training curriculum
  • Work with Sales leadership to design and agree effectiveness metrics, then drive continuous improvement in them
  • Work to bridge gap between sales teams and engineering, ensuring sales teams are updated ahead of product changes and maximize utilization
  • Responsible for learning/understanding the products, processes, systems, policies and sales skills that are currently in place and evolving them
  • Partner with sales leadership to define training needs, identify solutions to address
  • Maintain and evolve sales training library within Confluence interface

What you need:

  • Minimum of 2 years experience in instructional design, sales coaching and training delivery
  • Hands-on experience training sales professionals
  • Deep understanding of sales skills development
  • Experience with product, sales skills, and sales process training development/delivery
  • Strong project management skills
  • Experience working as a front-line sales manager is a plus
  • Bachelor’s degree is a plus
