Hi, we're Oscar. We're hiring a HR Compliance Manager to join our HR Governance Team.

About the role:

The HR Governance team will partner with other People, Leadership and Legal Counsel to ensure there are strong protocols and controls in place across the organization.

The HR Compliance Manager will serve as the functional partner and the Subject Matter Expert for all things HR Governance.

You will report into the Sr. Manager, HR Governance. This is a remote / work-from-home role. You must reside in one of the following states: Arizona, California, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Virginia, or Washington. Note, this list of states is subject to change. #LI-Remote

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver the HR risk management framework i.e. articulate risks, design and test controls and formulate action plans for risk mitigation
  • Develop and evolve employee policies to meet state/federal regulation and company specific needs
  • Partner with departments to build standard operating procedures (SOPs) in application of policies
  • Maintain compliance with federal and state employment law regulations

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or 4 years commensurate experience
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in employment related matters/HR experience
  • 2+ years experience leading a team
  • Strong understanding of employment legislation and HR policies (i.e. HR compliance, EEOC Requirements, STD/FMLA, Reasonable Accommodation, FLSA/wage-hour laws, etc.)

Bonus points:

  • Workday experience
  • Tech or startup environment experience
  • Experience working with Audit, Risk and Legal functions with stakeholders at all levels
