Techstars graduate LawnStarter grabs $6M Series A

[ibimage==35417==Original==none==self==ibimage_align-left]Online lawncare company and Techstars graduate LawnStarter announced today they have raised a $6 million Series A. 

This round of funding comes just six months after the startup raised $1 million to help expand into new markets. It was led by San Francisco-based Binary Capital and will help the company expand to even more markets and continue adding to their team.

“This money will allow us to build the all-star team it takes to win. We’ll be bringing on a VP of Engineering, several engineers, and a couple marketing professionals. City expansion is on the horizon as well” Co-founder and CEO Steven Corcoran said in a statement.
 
LawnStarter allows users to schedule lawn mowing, fertilization, bush trimming and other services from vetted, local lawn service providers through their mobile app and website.

According to Corcoran, LawnStarter plans to expand to provide lawn care in Houston, Dallas, San Antonio and San Diego, and Kansas City in the coming months.
