Venture Forth Entrepreneur Bootcamp Info Session, Jan. 22 at 4 p.m.

Join Monday’s virtual info session to learn more about Tech Ranch’s program on how to take your venture to the next level. Called Venture Forth Bootcamp, the program includes eight weeks of weekly two-hour sessions led by a subject matter expert or seasoned entrepreneur, plus the communal support of a cohort.  

 

Founders Live Austin, Jan. 23 at 6 p.m.

Head to Capital Factory on Tuesday for Founders Live Austin, a happy hour pitch competition. Five startups will pitch their business plan in less than 99 seconds. Following the pitches and a Q&A, attendees will vote on which company presented the best pitch for a chance to share more about their business model. Food and drinks will be provided.

 

6 Habits for Highly Effective Personal Branding, Jan. 24 at 6:30 p.m.

At this meetup, the discussion will focus on how to promote yourself while emphasizing value prop, how to keep attention from getting to your head, the importance of selecting a niche personal brand and tips for developing a network based on what you’d like to be known for.

 

Enlisting Sponsorship for Career Success with AMD Women's Forum & Breaking The Glass, Jan. 25 at 6 p.m.

Breaking The Glass has partnered with AMD Women’s Forum to host an executive panel discussion titled Enlisting Sponsorship for Career Success. Participating on the panel will be Mydung Pham, AMD’s senior director of design engineering; Laura Smith, senior director in the AMD Radeon technologies group; Mark Fuselier, VP of product development; and moderator Laura Burns, leader of the global talent team.

 

Austin AI Weekend at Data Day Texas, Jan. 27 at 8 a.m.

Data Day Texas, in its eighth year running, will include a sub-conference on artificial intelligence, deep learning and more as part of Austin AI Weekend. Lukas Biewald, of Crowdflower, will present the keynote address on deep learning in the real world. Additional speakers include John Akred of Silicon Valley Data Science, Kristian Hammond of Narrative Science, Jason Kessler of CDK Global and more.
